Ford F-150 Raptor: Cars.com’s 2017 Pickup Truck of the Year

Starting the new year by stating the obvious, Cars.com named the Ford F-150 Raptor the 2017 Pickup Truck of the Year. According to media.ford.com, the Raptor was nominated along with the totally redesigned and reengineered 2017 SuperDuty. But even with the SuperDuty’s 20 class-exclusive features and standing as best-in-class for towing capability, payload and torque, the F-150 Raptor still beat it out for Cars.com’s title. The F-150 Raptor has more power and torque than previous F-150s, has a first-in-class 10-speed automatic transmission, and has a body made of military-grade, aluminum-alloy that makes it 500 pounds lighter. All of this placed ontop of unique tires and a new suspension system makes a vehicle that dominates both on-and-off-road capability. With all this, we’re not surprised our F-Series Trucks have done so well, but if you’re want a better understanding of why we’re not surprised, come by and test drive one today and see for yourself.
